Layout: Hey There Handsome

Good Morning Friends,
I'm so excited Monday is here because its the first day of school for myself. I've waited for this moment for a month in a half now. Its finally here and I'm just so excited and prod of myself. So I wanted to pop in on this raining Monday morning to share a layout for Stuck?! Sketch August 15th challenge. I have really grown to love their sketches and so happy I've been able to participate each time this month. I'm following the sketch below.

Today's layout is featuring my nephew Derrick. He just gotten his hair cut and I seen these photo on my sister Facebook and know right away I wanted to scrapbook them. I'll do some journling on the back once I talk with my sister. That's what I love about scrapbook persevering my family history.

I wanted to share a close up of the sentiment and the fun washie tape I used.

I really love using this old Studio Calico stars. Their like canvas texture.
I used some blue shimmering  mist to add color.

Next is a close up of my main title. Sometime I love having two titles because it all describes the layout. I love adding the camra its fits in so well.

This image inspired me by the colors and the mystery of the owl. When I found this photo of my nephew his eyes spoke a mystery. I love the snowflakes here and I though I would use my stars in place of the snowflakes and add a dash of blue to mimic the background with the blue.

Layout: Cherish

Good Morning Friends,

I wanted to stop in and share a fun layout with you all. I visit White...with 1 challenge blog and seen that they had my favorite color yellow for the challenge. I know right away I wanted to created layout using a photo of beautiful twin niece. Were working with custard color.

As I stated before my layout is featuring my twin. I love that the photo is in black and white. It made it so much easy to scrapbook this photo. I know I wanted the picture to be the main focus; so I thought that placing everything in the center would bring everyone eyes to everything.

I used Mister Hueys, a wood veneer butterfly, enamel dots and the title is form. I inked the edges of the ripped paper using distress ink.

Here I wanted to share a close up of two paper doily I inked and folded to add flare to my photo. I also add a smile wood veneer that is ink in distress ink mustard seed to tie in.

Layout:This Happened

Good Morning Friends,
So this week has been a week of scrapbooking for me. I'm so happy I found my creative juices to complete a few layouts. I feel like i'm on such a roll that I want to do another. I know once school starts for me on Monday I may not have the time to craft. So I'm excited I'm getting them done now. So today's layout is created based on this sketch by Stuck?! Sketches  I really love this sketch and thought I would give it a more manly twist. Its not often I get to create manly layouts.  Because my family post a lot of photos on Facebook I can just go to their page and take them and print them off myself. That's one of the good things about technology today.

Today's layout is all about my twin brother. He's the youngest seeing how I was born first but shhh don't tell him that because he thinks he's the oldest. tee hee! If you would love to see the other layouts of my sister go HERE and my oldest bother go HERE. I really love this photo of my twin. This is his boat and its giving me vibes of him in deep thought and he's on this journey. I thought the title "This Happened" was perfect with this photo. This is a moment in his life that hell always remember. His very first boat, adventurer, lots of memories and its a time to just relax.

As you can see the journal are these three powerful words.

I thought this quote and compass was perfect for this layout.
Once a year go someplace you've never been before -Dalai Lama

I used my wink of Stella glitter brush on the title. Not sure if you can see it but the splatters has shimmer in it and I wanted it to all work together collectively.

Layout: LOVE

Good Morning Creative Friends,
I'm so excited to be back with another layout for you all. I haven't craft this much in a long time. Can you believe yesterday I did two layouts and the the day before I created two more. Yes a total of four layouts in one month so far. Your'll have seen the first  two layouts based on the sketches I've been following from  Let's Get Sketchy. To see  week one layout I created go HERE. I really love the sketches they create. Now I'm back with  August Week 2 sketch from Let's Get Sketchy. I loved the layers of paper in this sketch and knew right away I wanted to give it a try. I used an old kit from Back Porch Memories. BPM no longer sale kits. =( That makes me sad; but I'm so happy I was able to pick up a few of the kits before they closed their doors.

Here's the sketch:

Today's layout is featuring my sister. She always take amazing pictures and not only that she is an amazing women. I can't tell you how proud I am of her. So I thought the title LOVE and the journal is is perfect to describe her. She has been so successful and I love all the attributes about her listed.  And I can't help but to scrapbook her.

I really love the layers and I had to share a close up so you could see the pearls and stick pin.

I thought this title was perfect addition to my journal.

Absolutely Charming

 Good Morning Creative Friends,

I'm so excited to be back sharing a fun layout using a sketch found on (below)  Let's Get Sketchy blog. They have four challenges thought out the month. Each layout sketch is posted on Monday. You can find more information HERE on their blog. I'm sharing my layout for August Week 1. I really love this sketch and thought I would give it a twist by creating a manly layout. I had so much fun with it. I've decided to use an old paper pack designed by Lori Whitlock for Echo Park Paper Co. This paper is by far a favorite of mines and its perfect for creating manly layouts. I've used This and That Charming collection pack. All the embellishment is from this pack. I distress the edges of the different elements and the papers with Distress Ink: Vintage Photo

This layout is feature my oldest brother. I can't tell you how I'm just so proud of him. Hes going to be 33 this month. He's very successful at his job. He has now kids I tell him he's the lucky one. lol just kidding. Hes an amazing uncle. He treats my sibling and I kids like his own. And anyone who marries him will be very lucky. Because is all that is listed in this layout and more.

Here's some close ups of the embellishment though the layout. Enjoy!

I love the globe in this collection.
It fits in well with the photo of my brother as if he's in deep thought.
